Bruno has grown up being used the the camera following him around. He is a typical golden retriever, so everyone (including the camera) is his friend. I’ve been doing either weekly or monthly photo projects with him since 2015, starting when he was less than a year old.

12 Months of Bruno in 2018

Bruno gets to do the 12 month project again in 2018. Hard to believe that he turned 4 in April of this year. He is the classic handsome golden retriever. Aggie does bring out the puppy in him and the two of them are becoming quite the pair, even if he is occasionally a grumpy old man with her.

52 Weeks of Bruno in 2017

Bruno’s 2017 52 week project was a ton of fun. The big guy is a perfect photographic model with classic golden retriever looks and charm. The only downside is the occasional stray dog hair on the camera lens, but I’m willing to put up with that.

Many of these project photographs came with dogversations. The dogversations were sometimes the inspiration for the photograph, and sometimes the photographs were inspiration for the dogversations. The stories behind the photographs and dogversation are linked to the blog posts below.

12 Months of Bruno in 2016

2016 had been Bruno’s turn to do a monthly project. This project is a little more relaxed than the weekly one, often with 2-3 pictures per month. The pictures are below, with links to the blog posts at the bottom of the page.

I’m not sure if he matured or just got a little lazy this year. Either way I think his project has a bit more of a relaxed vibe than it did in 2015. He is still rocking those classic golden retriever looks.

52 Weeks of Bruno in 2015

Bruno started 2015 as a giant nine month old golden retriever puppy. 2015 was his year to have a weekly photo project. He started this project as a tough dog to photograph because he often looked quite confused in pictures. That factor alone was been the biggest barrier to creating a good image each week.
