I am someone who loves dogs. I grew up with dogs and when my wife and I got married and had our first home, we adopted our golden retriever Kael. She was then followed by another golden retriever Oliver. And now a Brittany spaniel named Eva.
A couple of years ago I started mixing my love of photography with my love of dogs. And in 2013 I started a weekly photo project on Flickr with our lovely and elderly golden retriever. This weekly project was fun, creative, and pushed me as both a photographer and dog trainer. Unfortunately in November Kael passed away from cancer and we miss her terribly.
Although I am not targeting to sell these photos as prints, I wanted to share a few of my favorites here. Biggest blog post yet, with 35 images. If you click on the photo title, it will take you to the original Flickr page, complete with the story behind the picture and various comments from other Flickr users.

over 5589km apart, only the coffee is the same
not sleeping on the brand new sofa
we should get them and eat them
waiting for the other shoe(s) to drop
i thought there were supposed to be cookies at this board meeting
i should have brought a wider lens
how crop circles are really made
the seventh nap of the day is the most important one

unravelling the secret for starbuck’s pumpkin scones
I’m really going to miss seeing Kael every week in the Flickr group. I’m very sorry for your loss and I hope you start the 52 week project again next year. ~block109 (Flickr)
