Agnes’ Project – September and October – Rescue Puppy

Agnes the rescue puppy has continued to adjust and fit in in our house. The photos from September and October include lots of lounging in the kitchen, product testing dog toys, and stalking me at the cabin. Lounging, Ears and Eyes Her two September photos are simple ones of her lounging in the kitchen.  Sometimes IContinue reading “Agnes’ Project – September and October – Rescue Puppy”

Bruno’s Project – September 2017

Bruno’s September photos were a bit of an odd assortment.  Working on the computer, resting, hanging with the Playmobil crew and an absentee shot while the humans were away on vacation. Post Haste His first photo September photo “post haste” was taken while he recovered from a game of chase with Agnes. Dave: Wow, BrunoContinue reading “Bruno’s Project – September 2017”

Eva’s project – July and August. Brittany Spaniel in the summer

Almost all of Eva’s July and August photo project was done at the cottage.  This even included a good view of the partial eclipse, which was more awe-inspiring for humans than dogs.  A good life for a Brittany Spaniel in the summer. Neither Ducks nor Geese This first photo is why we can’t fully trustContinue reading “Eva’s project – July and August. Brittany Spaniel in the summer”

Agnes’ Project – July & August 2017

Little rescue puppy continues to adapt and fit into our family.  She is quirky, but her sweet and cuddly nature is starting to show too.  She even did well camping in a tent with everyone at the cabin.  Four people and three dogs is a lot in a single tent. Posession The first photo ofContinue reading “Agnes’ Project – July & August 2017”

Bruno’s Project – August 2017

Bruno (and frankly all of us in our family) continued to live the good summer life in August.  Lots more time at the lake, and even a solar eclipse to boot. The Golden Seal Week 31 “the golden seal” was just Bruno living the life he loves and swimming with his toy at the cabin. Continue reading “Bruno’s Project – August 2017”

Bruno’s Project – July 2017 Summer Cabin Fun

All of Bruno’s July photos were taken at the cabin, leading the good life.  Summer at the cabin is amazing, especially when you’re with a golden retriever.  It really was a great July. Reflecting Week 26’s photo “reflecting”was a bit of a random shot.  Multiple other ideas had failed, but when I came back fromContinue reading “Bruno’s Project – July 2017 Summer Cabin Fun”

Eva’s Project – May & June 2017

Eva’s project in May and June saw a random collection of mainly spontaneous photos.  Sad to admit that there was no master plan here, just taking photos for the fun of it. She is however a lovely dog and always ready to do photos with me The Catcher Her first photo of May “the catcher”Continue reading “Eva’s Project – May & June 2017”

Agnes’ project – May and June 2017

Agnes is the newest member of our house, and certainly is the wild card in the mix.  She came to us from We All Need A Rescue (WANAR) K9 rescue in Saskatoon.  At first she was very timid and preferred spending time with Bruno and Eva to us humans.  That didn’t last long.  Now sheContinue reading “Agnes’ project – May and June 2017”

Bruno’s Project – June 2017

June saw the serious start of cabin season, which is Bruno’s favorite season by far.  It also saw a visit form a land shark, the muffin man, the lazy Canuck and a flying retriever. Little Land Shark Week 22’s photo “little land shark” was him playing with Agnes on the deck of the cabin, blurringContinue reading “Bruno’s Project – June 2017”

Bruno’s Project – May 2017

May was a relaxed month for Bruno’s project with no action shots to be had. Week 18 was the first group portrait for the three pups, and it surprisingly turned out better than anticipated.  I got it on only the 83rd attempt (not exaggerating).  Treats are a good motivating force in our house. Dave: OkayContinue reading “Bruno’s Project – May 2017”

Eva’s Project – March & April 2017

March and April was mainly set in the kitchen and dog park for Eva’s project. This “can’t stop won’t stop” photo made use of a coffee mug bought for dog portraits then adapted to every day use in our house.  The mug really does match her personality.  Please note, no coffee was consumed during thisContinue reading “Eva’s Project – March & April 2017”

Meet Agnes

In April we added another puppy to our home.  Agnes is a mixed breed puppy who was looking for a home from “We All Need A Rescue” in Saskatoon.  She came to us timid and afraid of people, but started immediately bonding with our pups.  Within a few days she warmed up to us humansContinue reading “Meet Agnes”

Bruno’s Project – March

March saw the continuation of winter, Bat-Bru (his amazing Batman impersonation), shoving his nose in a “namast’ay in bed” mug, and warm paws.  This guy is a good model. Winter Boots Week 9 was a trip to the park for Julia and Bruno that ended in a drag through the snow.  Julia was more thanContinue reading “Bruno’s Project – March”

Bruno’s project – January 2017 – Leaving his Scarf on

2017 is a new year, and time to start a new 52 week dog photo project.  This will be my fifth year doing a weekly dog photo project, and I must admit it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find photos that I haven’t done before.  So, there may be repeats in 2017, but hopefully not tooContinue reading “Bruno’s project – January 2017 – Leaving his Scarf on”

Bruno’s project – November & December 2016

It’s hard to believe that Bruno’s 12 month project is over for 2016.  From jumping in the yard like a dolphin to all the fun of the Christmas season.  But, lots more of him to come as he moves into a weekly project in 2017. Dolphin Jumping His first November project photo “dolphin jumping” wasContinue reading “Bruno’s project – November & December 2016”

Eva’s project – December. Christmas and the end of the project

The end of December say a finish to Eva’s 52 week project.  And thanks to how the weeks lined up, an extra week was added to make it 53 weeks in total. This month saw temptation over garlic sausage, cold weather and Christmas.   It’s been another fun project to do with her and I’ve reallyContinue reading “Eva’s project – December. Christmas and the end of the project”

Eva’s project – November

She’s Still Crazy Week 45 “she’s still crazy” was a revisit from Kael’s project in 2013 when EvaContinue reading “Eva’s project – November”

The Bird Code Week 40 “the bird code” was taken under the Idylwylde bridge. This summer Saskatoon commissioned local born artistContinue reading “Eva’s project – October”

Bruno’s project – September & October

With Great Gusto His September photo “with great gusto” shows what happens when he boundsContinue reading “Bruno’s project – September & October”
